Friday, May 9th - Mayor Dave Bieter Proclaims it Green Week in Boise!
Support Mayor Bieter as he proclaims Green Week in Boise. This event will be held on Friday, May 9th at 11am in the Grove Plaza.



Friday, May 9th - Sunday, May 18th - The Flicks Presents it's Green Film Festival

The Flicks will be the place to be during Green Week by presenting it's Green Film Festival. Students with ID are FREE for all of the Green Films, while adults only pay $6.50. Also available are Single Day Passes for just $10, allowing you to watch as many Green films as you'd like on any given day. Please see the complete Green Film Festival Schedule below.


Saturday, May 10th - Tour of Green Homes and Green Buildings
Join us for a tour of several local Green Buildings and Homes in the Boise Area! We will be traveling via charter bus to each location, touring some and learning about all the green features these structures have to offer. Please plan to enjoy about 4 hours with us on Saturday May 10th, beginning at Barber Park at 9:00 am-1:00 pm. The cost is only $15 per person, and an RSVP is required due to the limited number of seats. Please email info@greenfoundations.com to make your reservation.

Sunday, May 11th - Tour of Sustainable, Low-Water Gardens
Celebrate Mother’s Day in a Green way with a tour of water conserving landscapes! Join United Water Idaho for a self-guided tour of low-water-use gardens in Boise. We will begin with a 30 minute presentation about water efficient landscaping and tour of United Water Idaho’s demonstration garden. Tour participants can then visit gardens throughout Boise. This Self-guided tour will be on Sunday, May 11, 2008, from 2:00 -5:30 pm. A perfect event for Mom after Brunch! Thursday, May 15 - Boise WaterShed Grand Opening, 12:30-4:30
Idaho's first ever water based environmental education center opens it's doors. The Boise WaterShed features $1 million dollars of fun, high tech hands-on exhibits. The educational video game like experience is designed to teach children and adults about preserving and conserving water. The Boise WaterShed is located at the West Boise Wastewater Facility, 11818 W. Joplin Road off Chinden. www.boiseenvironmentaleducation.org.

Friday, May 16th - May in Motion Event
On Friday, May 16th, from 7am to 1pm on 8th Street (between Bannock and Idaho) Commuteride is proud to present it's annual Alternative Transportation Celebration. Learn about commuting alternatives, talk to local vendors and celebrate National Bike to Work Day. You can also enjoy free refreshments, register to win prizes, including a free bike.
