BEFORE YOU COME - THINGS YOU’LL WANT TO KNOW!
FREE Bike Valet Parking at the Expo!
The Idaho Green Expo wants to encourage you to ride your bike to the Expo and is offering Free Bike Valet parking for anyone who does! BYRDS (The Boise Young Rider Development Squad) will take care of your bike while you enjoy all the happenings at the Expo. BYRDS is a Treasure Valley bicycling program designed to introduce young people (ages 6 to 18) to the sport of cycling. The Bike Valet Service is free but we encourage you to throw a little green their way. Donations will go directly to BYRDS. The Bike Valet will be open half an hour before the Expo opens, and all bikes MUST be picked up half an hour after the Expo closes. FREE Bus Passes Available to the Expo! Free one-day ValleyRide bus passes, good for travel on Saturday, May 17, are now available. (ValleyRide buses do not operate on Sundays.) To request passes, send an e-mail to mcarnopis@valleyregionaltransit.org. Please include your mailing address and the number of passes you need. The last day to request the passes is Tuesday, May 13. To learn more about ValleyRide public transportation services in the Treasure Valley, please call RideLine customer service, at 345-RIDE (7433).
RECYCLE your Ink Cartridges Cartridge World is proud to help Idaho Green Expo recycle the Treasure Valley’s ink and laser cartridges. They will be at the Expo and will have recycling bins located just outside the front door and also at our booth. Please stop by their booth to find out how you can do your part in keeping thousands of cartridges out of our landfills. Recycling proceeds will be donated to GreenWorks Idaho and the Greening the Grove Project. Recycle your old Cell Phones and Raise Money
Project KOPEG (Keep Our Planet Earth Green) will be at the Idaho Green Expo to recycle your used cell phones. This will keep them out of our landfills and potentially polluting our environment. Please bring any used cell phones and accessories to the Expo and place them in the big green recycling bin just outside the front door. Visit Project KOPEG’s booth for more information about recycling electronic waste. Recycling proceeds will be donated to GreenWorks Idaho and the Greening the Grove Project. |
