Idaho Green Expo - Eco Kids

The Eco-Kids room at the 2010 Idaho Green Expo will provide an awesome outing for the whole family. Booths will be staffed by organizations and individuals dedicated to connecting young people with the environment and our opportunities to sustain it.

From 11am – 5pm each day, kids of all ages can engage in a variety of free activities:

Nature: Explore tracks and scats with the Foothills Learning Center! Create an aquatic habitat necklace with the MK Nature Center!
Experiment: Discover how water pollution is created and prevented with a hands-on experiment at the Boise Watershed table!
Crafts: Unleash your creative spirit and discover recycled materials available through the Re-Use Market!
Clue Hunt: For adventurous students, a clue hunt will provide you a mission for exploring the Green Expo.

Each hour, scheduled events in the Games Area of the Eco Kids room will present kids with engaging activities:

Pill bugs! The Idaho Botanical Garden will introduce you to these fascinating and helpful creatures. Observe the behavior of real pill bugs as you discover what they may be doing in your backyard!

Amazing Storm Water Maze – Find your own way as the Boise Watershed helps us learn where our water travels!

Meet the Animals - Zoo Boise will bring the zoo to you! Come meet some nifty little creatures.

Recycle Relay – Think fast and move fast as the Foothills Learning Center leads this active game.
Drum for Fun – Celebrate life and local talent! Join Failla Drums as we each experience the rhythm and energy of creating music together.
