Idaho Green Expo Vision

Here is a peek at what the First Annual Idaho Green Expo might look like…

In the week prior to the Expo, we are working on the following:

Ask Mayor Bieter to proclaim it “Green Week” in Boise!
Have a “Green” First Thursday style event, where participating area restaurants serve special local and/or organic meals, art exhibits have a “green” influence, and musicians play acoustic sets.
Have a “Green” Film Festival at the Flicks & Egyptian Theatres.
Conduct tours of Green Homes in the area.
Conduct tours of sustainable Gardens in the area.
Conduct tours of LEED certified buildings in the area.
Have a Green Vehicle Exhibit at Julia Davis Park, or perhaps at the Grove Plaza.
Organize a 5K walk/run/bike event - all participants wear green.
Partner with Commuteride on May in Motion events. (Bike to Work, etc.)

Plans for Day One of the Expo - Saturday, May 17, 2008

9:30am - 1:30pm Farmers Market integrates with the Expo along 8th Street and at The Plaza.
9:00am - 8:00pm Idaho Green Expo ~ Open Hours
5:00pm - 8:00pm "Alive After Five" style event at The Grove Plaza - Music, Food, Drink.

Plans for Day Two of the Expo - Sunday, May 18, 2008

8:00am - 11:00am Pancake Breakfast on the Grove Plaza.
10:00am - 6:00pm Idaho Green Expo ~ Open Hours
